'A casa di Gisa' is a very nice apartment of about 90 square meters, recently renovated, near the historic center of Fiumicino and about 2 km away from Rome's international airport 'Leonardo Da Vinci'. The apartment is located on the ground floor and there are no steps to access the structure. Inside we find: two bright bedrooms, a dining/sitting area, a main bathroom with window and large shower and another smaller service bathroom, equipped with an electric aspirator and shower head for the toilet. There are also 2 flat-screen satellite TVs; one located in the living room and the other in the master bedroom. Free WI-FI internet. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, pans, refrigerator, microwave and a capsule coffee machine. Inside the accommodation you will also find an ironing board, clothesline and hairdryer with diffuser.The accommodation is located in a highly strategic point for those in transit in the eternal city due to its location not far from the international airport of Rome Capital. In fact, very close we find some of the best fish restaurants in Fiumicino and an enormous amount of restaurants and fast food outlets of all kinds. The historic center can be reached by walking a few hundred meters and crossing the historic ''pedestrian walkway'' that connects the island to the mainland, thus arriving in via Torre Clementina. There you will find numerous places where, especially in the summer period, the nightlife of the city of Fiumicino develops, thanks also to the evocative spectacle created between the meeting of the river that crosses the Capitoline city, and the waters of the Roman coast. If you are by car, however, you can cross the banks of the river using the 2 June bridge. 'A casa di Gisa' is 700 meters from the nearest bathing establishment, 2.5 km from Rome's international airport (FCO Leonardo da Vinci Fiumicino), 12.5 km from the Nuova Fiera di Roma exhibition centre, 26 km from the EUR business heart and a few kilometers from the fantastic eternal city and caput mundi of Rome. In the immediate vicinity, without the need to take the car, you will find hairdressers, clothing stores, supermarkets, restaurants, fast food outlets and a large park surrounded by nature, where you can relax and meditate. Isola Sacra is located between the Port to the north and the excavations of Ostia Antica to the south, Isola Sacra is the territory that Trajan transformed into an artificial island through the construction of a connecting canal between the Tiber and the sea called Fossa Traiana. In the 1st century AD a road connected the two centers of Ostia and Porto, crossing the island which constituted the main road axis. Along the road a single necropolis developed, the necropolis of Porto, which was kept silent by the sources and discovered between the 1920s and 1940s during the reclamation of the territory. Another place of interest to visit in Isola Sacra is the Basilica of Sant'Ippolito and the Antiquarium dedicated, between the end of the 4th and the beginning of the 5th century, to the martyr Ippolito from Porto.
